About Dr. Fortier
I, Dr. Seth Fortier, was born and raised here in Albany Oregon. After graduating from West Albany High School I moved to Corvallis in pursuit of a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. While at Oregon State University I met my amazing wife, Hannah Fortier (formerly “Strauser”), and discovered my passion for health care. With this new found appreciation I chose to focus my studies on “manual medicine” emphasizing a non-invasive and patient focused treatment model. Due to hard work, committed studies, and Hannah’s support, I was able to get accepted into the honors program at the prestigious Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC) in Portland, Oregon. While at WSCC I spent many hours specializing in conditions such as: sports injuries, pediatrics, family care, whiplash trauma, disc herniation, headaches, arthritis and many other of today’s common conditions. This educational program is considered among the most difficult in the nation and has placed me on the cutting edge of the most recent advances in Chiropractic medicine today. Upon graduating Magna Cume Laude my wife and I moved back to Albany to be close to our family and friends, two thing we value highly. In fact, moving back to Albany makes us the “fourth” generation of Fortiers to call Albany home.
When I am not treating patients I enjoy many different hobbies. Any week day you can find Hannah and me at the gym. We not only preach health we practice it through regular adjustments, exercise, and diet. We also enjoy many outdoor activities from hiking in the cascades to the casual beach trip. Among exercise and the outdoors I also enjoy classic cars. I own a 1971 Chevelle which I bought in high school. Though I used to drag race over the summers now the only action it sees is the occasional car show or “cruise in”.
